This child is currently three (3) years old and his pincer grasp(how child uses his/her index finger and the thumb to hold things) has not developed as yet. I gave him an activity that requires the use of eye-hand coordination as well as fine motor skills. In this activity he is outlining the lower case letter a using peas.

In this activity the child is identifying as well as colouring objects and shapes that are similar. Notice his pincer grasp (the way he holds the pencil).

In this activity the child is differentiating between big and little. He is using various crayons to colour the big objects. In addition, a variety of materials such as balls, fruits, sweets, rubbers among other things were used to emphasize the concept big and little.
